Dance Yourself To Death
Dance Yourself to Death formed in 2005 in Toronto, Canada.
Their independently released EP was discovered by pop icon Elton John who was impressed by the band's addictive hooks and melody which infuses rock, synth pop and dance music of earlier decades. Elton John included one of DYTD's original songs on a film he was producing & cast them to play in a scene of the same film.
They went on to licence their songs to several more films and their popularity began to grow on some radio stations. Original guitarist Nina Martinez departed DYTD for the Cliks in 2007, Carmen Elle (guitar) and Johnny Ryan (keys) joined original members Jen Markowitz (bass, vox) and Susan Gale (drums, vox).
Their debut album will be released in 2009. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
