Dave Kusworth
Inspired by the raw power of the Stooges and the glam rock excess of the New York Dolls, Birmingham, England, native Dave Kusworth formed his first band (TV Eye) at the age of 16. He remains "untainted by celebrity and fame", staying to true his rock'n'roll vision. Serving his share as singer/songwriter/guitarist in The Subterranean Hawks, The Dogs D'Amour, The Rag Dolls, the Jacobites (with ex-Swell Maps Nikki Sudden), the Bounty Hunters of which sometimes opened for Johnny Thunders, and lastly the Tenderhooks, he is unparalleled by anyone in his unique style. His songs, gutter-bound tales of rock & roll heartache that bring to mind the Faces and the Rolling Stones, have been covered by Evan Dando and Mercury Rev and revered by the likes of Tom Waits, Chuck Prophet, and Peter Buck.
