Demy
Demy (born Dimitra Papadea in Athens) is a Greek singer signed under Greek independent label Panik Records debuting in 2011. In June 2012, she released "Πόσες χιλιάδες καλοκαίρια" (How Many Thousand Summers) as her single and quickly reached #1 on the itunes Greece chart. She is also featured as the lead vocals on Playmen's "Fallin (Radio Edit)".
Demy's father is an attorney and currently, Demy is studying law in Athens. She has been taking piano lessons since she was 5. She cited Jazz, Soul, Pop Rock, and R&B as her musical influences.
At the 2012 MAD Video Music Awards, she won the award for Best New Artist and 2 other awards. In her acceptance speech, she mentioned that just a year earlier she was sitting at home watching the awards show and one year later she was on the stage accepting an award. Demy, along with The FaDe, also performed on the awards show. They were the first act on stage. Read more on Last.fm.
