Dub Squad
Dub Squad are an electronic music group that was formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1993.
Members include: Koji Nakanishi, Taro Yamamoto, and Tatsuki Masuko.
Dub Squad was originally started as a project to create ambient style dub music typically played in the chill-out room environment of clubs. Their early releases reflected a more dub driven ambient style. Their later releases moved toward a more Break-Beat driven style with some infusion of Drum 'n Bass elements. They often employ an improvisational working style during their jam sessions to record new tracks. They also use improvisation during live shows.
Their debut album, entitled "Dub in Ambient", was released in 1996 on the German based After 6 AM record label.
Their second album entitled "Enemy Vs Friend" was released in 1998.
Their third album entitled "Versus" was released in 2001.
