Eggnoise
An original band combining nearly all genres, such as traditional and modern jazz, folk songs, swing, rock, funk and many more: a very intelligent music that can calm you down as well as turn you on. Their debut album: WHAT A WORLD (Columbia) was nominated for the Czech Academy Awards 2003 for the best jazz/blues artist. Their hit WONDER topped the Czech music TV chart for 11 weeks.
In spring 2007 they released the second album called ALBUMEN. Lucia Pazderková created the videoclip for the song HOME.
In autumn 2010 they released the third album called YOLK, with participation of many guests, including Yellow Sisters, Samantha Twigg Johnson and Mike Anklewicz.
Eggnoise was formed around 1994 as a band of students of music at first influenced by the Seattle wave. They soon turned to a jazzier sound, adding more and more instruments to achieve a greater variability of color - today these include drums, percussion, bass, electric and acoustic guitars, violin, fender rhodes piano, hammond organ, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, soprano and alto saxophones and vocals. There are only seven people to play these instruments though.
Eggnoise have appeared on stage with bands like The Levellers, dEUS, Zbigniew Namyslowski and many others. All of the band’s music is original, lyrics are in English, occasionally in Czech and Spanish. The band has played over 300 concerts both at home and abroad, including many international festivals.
