Erazerhead
Erazerhead were just 4 eastenders who didnt want to go on about politics. They felt that the Clash had already said everything that needed saying. It was all about having a good time. The lyrics weren't particularly important, the tune was everything to them. The music was fast and energetic without being thrash. They hated the so called anarcho punks and the crusty crass wannabes. The singer said I don't know why they don't do us all a favour, stop whingeing and go back to the hippy commune where they belong.
Drawing their influences from the early punk bands and obviously the Ramones, the boys set out to put things right. At that time there were not enough people of that mindset around to fully appreciate da Bruddas, let alone Erazerhead. It is almost unfair now to see so many people in Ramones shirts when the band are almost all dead.
They are firmly against reunions and see the whole thing as a slur on the memory of punk.
They were influenced by all the good british and american music that came before the punk movement got up and running. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
