Eric Brosius
Eric Brosius is an American composer and sound designer, most notable for his work with Looking Glass Studios. Compositional work for LGS includes Thief: The Dark Project (1998), Thief II: The Metal Age (2000) (as well as the third installment of the series, Thief: Deadly Shadows, which was produced by Ion Storm), and System Shock 2 (1999). He is most well-known for his minimalist and darkly ambient style of electronic composition.
Brosius' career as a musician began as a member of Boston-based alternative rock group Tribe, of which his future wife (and LGS colleague) Terri Brosius (née Barous) was also a member. His first compositional credit was 1994 action game Descent, produced by Interplay. His first work with LGS (then Looking Glass Technologies, Inc.) was Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri (1996). LGS went bankrupt shortly after the release of Thief II in 2000; Brosius and other LGS alumni were rehired for the 2004 sequel.
Since, Brosius has served as audio designer for Harmonix's Rock Band and Guitar Hero series of music rhythm games, as well as Irrational Games' acclaimed BioShock (2007). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
