【Biography】
FEAR FROM THE HATE was formed in Tokyo in August 2008, when two friends Hiro (ba.) and Kouichi (gt./prog.) decided to play music together. Since the band’s foundation the lineup was changed several times until March 2011. In 2009, the band joined Lidy (vo.) and they recorded the first self-produced demo CD "There is no reply, It was a worthless corpse / Sign of a ruin” limited to 1100 copies which were distributed on the band’s gigs.
In the 2010, FEAR FROM THE HATE had an opportunity to participate in two big festivals such as SCREAM OUT FEST 2010 and Geki Rock FES. Soon after the first EP "Cursed Screamers For All The Frozen Tears" was released without any label’s support. After that the band toured through Kanto, Osaka, Hyogo, Aichi and Fukui.
In November 2010, guitarist Taro, who’s joined FEAR FROM THE HATE since their inception, was replaced by Yu-taro. Eventually, they began playing gigs with their current lineup in March 2011, when a new drummer Shinya took up the band as Tomoya’s replacement.
In March 2011 FEAR FROM THE HATE signed with “garimpeiro records” and recorded the first single "Paint a Trip Party", limited to 1500 copies that sold out just in a few months. At the same time the band shot the first promotional video of the same name "Paint a Trip Party" in collaboration with Maxilla, who worked with such Japanese bands as OCEANLANE, HER NAME IN BLOOD, CROSSFAITH and NEWBREED.
In May 2011, FEAR FROM THE HATE with the new song "Flight to Memories" involved in "A Wish to End the Tragedy" a charity collaboration album of artists signed to garimpeiro records. The compilation was included songs of domestic and overseas bands such as Closure in Moscow, One Last Hero, Before Their Eyes and others.
The new album "Birthday of 12 Questions" was released on August 17, 2011. The sound of the album has a good combination of a heavily down-tuned guitar setup and samples. Furthermore, utilizing a variety of vocal styles, their music features deep harsh vocals, screaming and occasional melodic clean singing. Also they made a point in Japanese lyrics. But what was the most curious, that they wrote a ballad which retrospectively attributed to classical heavy metal and conventional hard rock roots.
In late August 2011, FEAR FROM THE HATE embarked on their tour throughout Japan in support of the album.
