Fast Food Rockers
The Fast Food Rockers are a British pop group. Their most successful hit was The Fast Food Song, which was written by Mike Stock and Sandy Rass. The chorus dates back to a scout and guide campfire song from 1985 and was the first release of independent record label, Better The Devil Records.
Many cultural analysts were appalled by the content of the song. The Guardian newspaper lamented the "collapse of culture into product placement".
After an album that failed to reach the top 200 in the UK and a third single that went by unnoticed The Fast Food Rockers split in 2004 and are now working on their own individual projects.
Former band member Martin Ryecroft was poached from his bar tending job in 2006 to take part in the E4 show 'Boys will be girls' where three failed male pop stars have to convincingly create a new girl band.
