Feryal Öney
Feryal Oney was born in a Middle
Anatolian town called Aksehir in
Turkey. In 1987, she came to
Istanbul, to Bosphorus University for
her education. There, she participated
in the musical works of the Folklore
Club. In 1993, she took part as a
founder in the formation of Kardes
Türküler Project, and since that time
she performed in countless concerts
and appeared in six albums as a band member and lead singer. In 1996,
she recorded her first solo album “Hardasan-Songs from Azerbaijan” with
musicians from Azerbaijan. In december 2006, her second solo album,
“Bulutlar Geçer” (Clouds Pass by) which is based on the folk Music of
Middle Anatolia has been released by Kalan Music.
