Florian Wolff
Listening to Florian Wolff’s carefully composed songs is a pleasant pastime. His music makes you long for summer evenings on the beach, for the dancefloor, or for slippers on a wooden floor. But it’s not snug and cozy all the time. At the right moments he opens the windows: a cold draught runs through the house. Wolff takes the wrong train, ends up in a ‘wrong state of mind’ and shows us the inside of it all.
Born in Groningen, the Netherlands, the 22-year old singer-songwriter already has left a trail of musical footprints on his private beach. He played bass with dutch rapper Grootmeester Jan and plays his ass off as singer/bassplayer in the funkrock formation The Elizabeth Knowhow. Since 2003, in order to fully concentrate on his musical career, he studies at the Academy for Popculture in Leeuwarden.
Wolff masters several instruments and his latest recordings prove he’s a skilled singer as well. The songs sound familiar, because his acoustic, funky popsound is international and of all times. Do with it whatever you like – lay down on your couch, saunter along the beach or sing along loudly. But beware: if he’s around, don’t miss him. Before you know it, he’s gone. Head over heels, chasing a rainbow.
