Foolk
Foolk, producer, composer and beatmaker based out of Slovak Republic. He conjures surprisingly catchy tracks, which manage the feat of being danceable as well as doing strange, alien things to your head and stomach, out of these ingredients. Buttons pusher with love.
Foolk started to compose electronic music in 2004. First EP Something Like Jazz (2004) was released in Germany (Node Records). His debut album Red Pills For Daddy (2008) was breakthrough to sample based jazz and electronic.
Five years after the debut in 2013 Foolk releases new album Millions Of (Deadred Records / Starcastic Records). Probably most profound album up to date is going further in exploration of bass music and downtempo beats. Album brought pleasant vocals by Szabina Csánó (ex member of band Moustache) and powerful singles. Track Oak Tree was aired by music evangelist Mary Anne Hobbs on XFM Radio. Beside this, his tracks are part of Mad-Hop compilations.
At the moment Foolk is performing live with instrument Monome.
The selected performances included Wilsonic Festival (Slovakia), A letter to L.A. (Dublab Radio Gig, Cologne, GER), Waves Vienna Festival (Austria), Pohoda Festival (SK), Grape Festival (SK), Spring Eight Festival (Austria), Cargo (London, UK), Lockside Lounge (London, UK), Zona 9 Tri-Groove (Milan, IT), Meet Factory (Prague, Czech Republic), A38 (Budapest, Hungary) and more.
