Franke
Franke is a rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden with the two brothers Fredrik and Nicklas Franke as the lead figures. Their lyrics are characterized by blackness, social alienation and problematic love. Music wise, Franke belongs in an alternative indiepop-furrow with hard guitars which in combination with the lyrics signals desperation and rootlessness. Their debut album "Optimismens Hån" (2003) was released by the independent-label Service. It was produced by Björn Olsson.
Franke has taken position against the commercial music business and has compared themselves to a strange bird in said business. Franke has pronounced that they feel an affinity with The Bear Quartet and their compromiseless attitude towards being a selling band and constantly being available to the media and people in the branch.
Franke's second album titled "Det krävs bara några sprickor för att skapa ett mönster" was released in early 2009 after a label switch to Luxury. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
