Game Grumps
Game Grumps is a YouTube-channel hosted in Glendale, California, United States. Game Grumps was created on July 10, 2012 and is hosted by Leigh Daniel "Danny Sexbang" Avidan (born March 14, 1980) and Arin Joseph "Egoraptor" Hanson (born January 6, 1987). The channel was initially hosted by Arin and Jonathan "JonTron" Jafari, but Jon left in June 2013 to work on other projects. Game Grumps play a variety of classic video games while providing commentary and discussing various topics, usually related to the game being played but sometimes completely arbitrary. Since its launch in July 2012, the video channel has cultivated a following of video game enthusiasts, many of whom are long-time subscribers to the two hosts’ personal YouTube channels. One of the recurring motifs throughout the series is the hosts’ tendency to sing out their lines during conversations, some of which have been samples and re-contextualized into electronic dance music and mash-ups with iconic video game songs. Many of the remixers have developed their own following amongst Game Grumps fans, notably AtPunk, xxJerryTerryxx, and LilTommyJ. Read more on Last.fm.
