Ginny Blackmore
Ginny Blackmore is a 27 year old singer-songwriter from Auckland, New Zealand. She began her recording career in 2013 after the release of her debut single, "Bones".
After she began writing her own songs as a teenager in New Zealand, Blackmore moved to London with a self-produced demo album at the age of 19 and scored a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Aguilera then recruited the songwriter to Los Angeles and asked to record her ballad "Sing For Me" for her own album, "Lotus." After impressing Tricky Stewart and writing the song "By The Rules" with Lambert while in L.A., Blackmore began showcasing on her own, and was eventually called by Epic Records Chairman & CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid in November 2011.
In January 2013, she announced that her debut single, "Bones", would be released in the coming months. It was accompanied by two songs - "Hello World" and her version of "Sing For Me" (titled "SFM" on the EP) - and peaked at #1 in her home country of New Zealand.
Ginny is set to release her debut album later this year. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
