Born into a single parent family in Dube, Soweto, Bruno lived a life of crime. At a tender age Bruno was already a notorious leader of a gang terrorizing the people of Hillbrow and Randburg. At the juvenile age of 15 after a long helicopter chase, Bruno was arrested for armed robbery and sent to Leeukop prison. Even while in prison, his heart had been hardened by the life that this youngster had led, leading him into trouble while in Leeukop and spending time in isolation. His time in isolation became a blessing in disguise, because it gave him time to meditate on his life and future. In isolation is where Bruno discovered his love for music and writing. Thus the first new breed of lyricist was born.
Hailing from Kagiso also living a life of crime Fistos was sent to Leeukop prison for six years for robbery. Fistos was part of a prison rehab programme and was given a guitar by the programme. While in prison he harnessed his skill with the guitar. In Leeukop, Fistos met up with Bruno and they decided to form a group.

Ghetto Ruffs CEO Lance Stehr told the guys to phone him upon their release. True to his word upon their release Bruno and Fistos phoned and met up with Lance at the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg. After serving a five and half year sentence, these young guys future had been turned around with a record deal at Ghetto Ruff. Read more on Last.fm.
