Hardsequencer
Kay „Hardy“ Lippert, born 10.09.74 in Dresden, probably did not think during his schooldays of becoming one of Germany’s most popular DJs and Producers . His first musical instrument in the 80’s was an Atari800, then Amiga500, where he worked as a musician for demogroups and game developers. In 1991/92 he already started performing his tracks live in Dresden’s first technoclub “The Fabrik”, where he became resident under his former Dj-name Hardsequencer.
The first demotape reached the Berlin Label Low Spirit in 1992. In spring 1993 Hardsequencer was the first artist from the former eastpart of Germany releasing Dj-Records done with Amiga. First releases were “Noise is the Message” followed by “Braincrash”, ”The Dancing Nations” and “Ear to Brain” that all became worldwide rave classics.
After his appearance on Mayday ‘94 he played numerous gigs in Australia, Asia and Amerika and did remixes for artists like Yello, Westbam, Moby, Marusha, Afrika Bambaataa, Jan Delay and H-Blockx, just to name a few.
In 1995 he became a resident Dj in one of Berlins most popular clubs E-Werk and in ‘96/’97 he left Dresden and moved to Berlin.
That’s when he renamed hisself into HardyHard, as he wanted to quit rave music starting with new music. So Hardsequencers last release “The Healer” had been followed by HardyHard’s first recordrelease “Metal Hammer” on Loud&Slow and “Here comes that Sound” that became a big clubhit too. One of his most popular productions from 1998 is “The Silversurfer”, that was an anthem on Loveparade, where he also performed residentaly. Read more on Last.fm.
