Helen Sjöholm
Marie Helen Sjöholm (born 10 July 1970) is a Swedish singer who lives in Gamla Enskede in Stockholm. Sjöholm started to sing in choirs at an early age and by the end of the '80s she toured with the group "Just For Fun". Among thousands of others she got the part of Kristina in Kristina från Duvemåla, which was played from 1995 to 1999. Her musical career continued with parts in Fiddler on the Roof, Les Misérables and the role of Florence in Chess. Sjöholm has also toured with Jojje Wadenius and she has released two albums, "Visor" in 2002 and "Genom varje andetag" in 2003. She's taken part in Rhapsody in Rock, Speldosa with Björn Skifs and the popular Swedish tv-shows "Allsång på Skansen" and "Så ska det låta". Sjöholm sings mostly Swedish folk-songs, but also jazz and lots of musical songs. She often performs and records with Benny Andersson's Orkester sometimes vocalising ABBA songs.
In 1999 she made her first movie appearance in Rickard Hoberts "Där regnbågen slutar", and in 2004 she played the part of Gabriella in Kay Pollack's very successful "Så som i himmelen". At "Stockholms stadsteater" 50:th anniversary she starred in the dramatisation of Harry Martinsson's epic poetry "Aniara" as "poetissan" with numerous musical performances. Read more on Last.fm.
