Hopalong Knut
Hopalong Knut is a nine-piece ska band from Norway, with a very charming and energetic vocalist and possibly the best horn section in Norway.
They sing in their own Norwegian dialect (from the region Trøndelag).
Their first album came out in 2005, named "Feilkalibrert tidsmaskin". Roughly translated this title means "Badly Calibrated Time Machine" - meaning that the band feel they don't feel home in our world. The album got reasonably good reviews, though the band was critized somewhat for playing only "party music".
"Evolusjonens trøst" was the follow-up, released September 29 2006. This title means "The Consolation of Evolution", which the title song reveals is freedom. This album got even better reviews and the new, more serious lyrics was acclaimed.
Hopalong Knut released their third album , "La Pluto Bli en Planet Igjen" (Let Pluto Become a Planet Again) in march 2011. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
