Horch
Horch is a two member band from Lincoln, NE., consisting of Josh "Hillery" Hillers (guitar, vocals, keyboards, etc.) and Lawrence Weidner (drums). Having met in high school, with both of them being on the drum line, Hillery proposed that the idea of them getting together to jam. After trying the idea out, they realized it was hard to jam when you didn't know any of the same songs, so they began to write their own material (starting with the song "Horch") and playing a few covers.
Between them, they share a wide range of musical taste, from alternative, to classic rock, and even some indie stuff. Hillery has sometimes described their sound as "a weird combination between Led Zeppelin and Nirvana. Except with a lot less skill." This is probably because their material ranges from distorted, power chord-based, "verse-chorus-verse" style songs, to blues jams with lots of improvisation.
In March of 2009, Horch recorded a self-titled album in Josh's basement, with a release date of April 4th. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
