I.F.K.
IFK (Insect Flying Killer) is by far one of the best known and most mature alternative groups in Russia. The group was formed in 1994 in Moscow. Initial composition: Paul "Pate" Filippenko - voice, Igor "Chica Dee" Malashkevich (part-time - keyboardist The Console) - voice, Max "Beard" Galstyan - guitars, Dmitry Vyborny - bass guitar, Vadim Bayrash - bass guitar Alexei Bakurkin - drums. The presence of two vocalists and two bass players become prominent feature of the group. Music represented a mix of heavy riffs, recitative in English and nervous rhythms in the spirit of Rage Against The Machine and Faith No More. Fame came after the first concert, thanks largely to the energetic and uncompromising image scenic Pate - frontman of the collective.
