Ilona Csáková
Ilona Csáková (born October 1st, 1970 in Cheb) is a Czech singer. During the years 1987-1992 she was part of the musical group Laura a její tygři (Laura and Her Tigers).
She had wanted to become a singer ever since her childhood. In 1985 she took part in her first singing competition. In 1987 she became part of the band from Most – Laura a její tygři. Together they made 3 albums, but she left them after 5 years.
In 1993 she recorded her first solo album Kosmopolis. Two years later her 2nd solo album, Amsterdam, debuted, with the hit of the same name. Her most successful solo endeavor of the following time period was the album Modrý sen (1998)(Blue Dream). She came upon success with some hits she took over – Proč mě nikdo nemá rád (Why Does No One Like Me), La Isla Bonita, and Když zbývá pár slov (When Few Words Remain). In 1998 she was the most sold female Czech singer. Over 126 000 copies of the album Modrý sen were sold. Read more on Last.fm.
