Ivo Linna
Ivo Linna (born 12 June 1949 in Kuressaare) is an Estonian singer.
He graduated from Kuressaare Secondary School, and studied from 1967-1969 at the State University of Tartu in Estonian Philology.
He started his singing career with the Kuressaare band Müstikud. This was followed by a stint in the band System, as well as a return to Müstikud. After a period of military service in the Soviet Army, he was a solo singer in Tallinn with the Olav Ehala Ensemble, as well as with the Vana Toomas Orchestra.
Linna's songs played an important part in the Singing Revolution as the USSR collapsed. He also appeared at the Eurovision Song Contest singing a duet "Kaelakee hääl" with Maarja-Liis Ilus.
