Jennifer Saunders
Jennifer Saunders is a British comedienne - one half of the legendary partnership of French and Saunders (with Dawn French). A long stream of music parodies can be found throughout their long-running BBC series. The comedy stars - together with fellow comedienne Kathy Burke - had a 1989 UK hit with the Stock Aitken Waterman produced Comic Relief single 'Help!' - credited to Bananarama & Lananeeneenoonoo. Saunders further enhanced her iconic comedy status by writing and starring in Absolutely Fabulous (which originated as a sketch on French and Saunders). Samples from the show gave Jennifer and co-star Joanna Lumley two chart hits on tracks bearing the show's name, produced by the Pet Shop Boys and Junior Vasquez respectively. In addition to her 'Absolutely Fabulous' music forays, Jennifer recorded two tracks for the UK version of the 'Shrek 2' soundtrack ('The Fairy Godmother Song' and 'Holding Out For A Hero').
