Julian Fane
Much like Sigur Rós, Dntel, and M83, Vancouver, Canada's Julian Fane makes spacious, atmospheric music that blurs the boundaries between electronica and dream pop. The singer/multi-instrumentalist/programmer performed with the band Waikiki and made experimental electronic pieces under the monikers Aardvark Interface and Taoist Blockade, but had a full-time job as a day trader on NASDAQ, which he eventually quit to focus on his music. After signing to Planet Mu, he released the debut album Special Forces in fall 2004. Read more on Last.fm.
