Kids Explode
Kids Explode came together in early 2004 in Freiburg, Germany, south west Germany. Markus (git), Georg (git), und Christoph (bass) had been playing together for years in a band called The World Inc. They were now joined by Kristof (drums) and Claudius (vocals). They played their very first show on february 27th in their rehearsal space in Freiburg, their second show was with Transistor Transistor in Strasbourg/France. They released a 6-song demo tape the same year, and recorded their debut, a split 12"/CD with Shokei (Narshardaa/Altin Village Records), and put one song from the same recording session onto a split 7" with Dialogues from Harrisonburg/Virginia (Rome Plow Records). Shortly after, Claudius left the band. Since then, Markus and Georg shared vocal duties.
They did their first tour in 2006 with Shokei, also covering the UK, Holland and Belgium. The year after, they toured with the american band End Of A Year, mostly Germany, and released a split 7" with EOAY on Narshardaa Records. In 2008, they toured again with Shokei and released a 4-way-split 12" with Shokei, The Falcon Five and Petethepiratesquid, on Altin Village Records. A split 7" with Solemn League was released later the same year for a joint venture tour (Germany, Austria, Italy).
Christoph, Markus and Georg had a band called Tapes. Kristof moved to Berlin and played in Magic Of The Rainbow (2008-2009) and Skipping School (2009-2010), and plays drums in The Dropout Patrol.
