Kirsten Joy
Kirsten Joy (also known as Kirsten Joy Gill) is an English singer-songwriter.
She also provides vocals for several of Oli Silk's albums and live performances. Next to that she also recorded several dance records with Sy & Unknown (Bright Like The Sun and Superstar) and solo (Only Your Love).
In 2010 she joined Josh Dubovie at Eurovision as a backing vocalist. In 2012 she was a part of the UK jury in the Eurovision Song Contest with Lynsey de Paul, among others. In that same year she participated in the first season of The Voice UK on team Jessie J. After auditoning with Emeli Sandé's 'Heaven', she made it to the next round. She was eliminated during the battle rounds in favor of Toni Warne.
In early 2013, her new found fame led to the release of her debut EP 'Written In The Sky'. A music video was released for the leadsingle. The EP featured 4 original songs and a cover of Ben Howard's 'The Wolves'. Her new challenge in 2015 is to compete in the Swiss webselection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'One Life'.
