Kurhaus
Kurhaus was a (post)hardcore band from northern Germany known for its intense live shows. They existed for more than ten years until their break up in 2007. Through the years their style evolved from rather average but pretty fast hardcore to their own unique brand of posthardcore.
Kurhaus were always very outspoken about political issues leaning strongly to the extreme left. Despite some tags posted here they have never been a straight edge band.
They were part of the Zeitstrafe label family and frequently shared stages with the bands from the label's roster. They also shared a rehearsal space with Matula and Captain Planet.
Over the years they released two demos, one ep, three full length records and one split 7" with Escapado. They played more then 200 live shows in Germany and neighbouring countries. The band has never experienced a single line up change and called it quits as one member decided he doesn't want to continue.
Some band member are or have been involved with the following projects: Solemn League, Tiger Paws, Magic of the Rainbow, Anarchist Skywalker, Hans Unstern, Otterroboter, Icon, Solitary Jan and American Tourists.
