LAHO was formed in Konkelo's mind in 2006. He had lot's of inspirations of his own project for a long time, but nothing got started. Finally at the summer of 2006 Konkelo started to do something with his computer and soon the first song was ready. At that time the music was much more influenced by metal music and compared to nowadays, the computer stuff was very minimal. Drums were programmed and couple of synths were added. Soon more songs were created and they were released under the name of "Lahonnut Konkelo".
After six months of active music creating, the style started to change. More electronics were added and the sound started to evolve from thrash industrial metal into just industrial metal. The first actual demo called "OHAL", which was released in internet in the beginning of 2007, had much more programmed stuff and synths in it.
In the same year, 2007, Konkelo started to work for bigger Laho release; A longer demo EP which would be released in CD also, not just in mp3. The process started allmost straight after "OHAL" was released and the first track "Surrealism" were allmost straight away ready. The whole album recording process took very much time and it was finished in the summer of 2007 and it was released as "The Other Side" in 2007. Once again, the style was evolved into something different. The EP was also released through an internet record label called Ekleipsi in the summer of 2008.
Now Laho is working for a new record which will be released some day during 2008 (or 2009). First sample of that record was released in early 2008 and the track was called Escape from the Dying Star. The style went much more electronic than it was on The Other Side. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
