Manticore
There are at least two bands named Manticore:
1. Manticore (black metal) was formed in 2000 by members Ixitichitl, The Maggot Wrangler and Satanael, to express their ideology and play the kind of music they wanted to hear: unholy black death metal done without compromise. In January of 2001, the band recorded the Ritual Cleansing of the Whore demo, which was later re-released on CD and vinyl by Breath of Night/Merciless Records. In January of 2002, Manticore returned to the studio to record its first album, entitled Bowels of the Holy Anoint Us in Evil, to be released later through Warhammer Records. In between recordings, the band played numerous live shows before ultimately participating in the 'Marching Towards Christian Extermination Tour' in the Fall of 2002 with Avenger, Black Witchery, Krieg and Armagedda. After endless delays due to cover art, Bowels of the Holy Anoint Us in Evil finally saw the light of day in April of 2003 on CD through Warhammer and a limited cassette release in December by InCoffin Productions. Since then, the Manticore camp has fallen silent, as preparations for Envenomation have begun...

2. Manticore is a Swedish progressive rock group with only one release in 1993 before breaking up. However, in 2018 they reformed and released a new album, 25 years later.
