María Barracuda
Maria Barracuda, Marisela Morales Rodríguez, is a Mexican composer and singer. Born in the border city of Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Maria has been influenced by both Mexican and north American cultures.
Her first public release came in 2004, with 10 songs of her own. She became famous in Central and South America after releasing her first single "Chale" in which she sings next to Rubén Albarrán, from the well known Mexican group Café Tacvba.
In 2004 she was nominated for the MTVLA wards as best new artist. In 2005, her song "Cantando en el baño", from an album which paid tribute to Mexican actor TIN TAN, appeared in the Rolling Stone magazine.
She's now the main vocalist of the Mexican band JotDog.
