Michita
Michita was born, raised, and still lives in Hokkaido, and started DJing in 1988, getting his experience at Club Ghetto, Precious Hall and Nome, whilst performing together with numerous artists. He released a number of mix CDs under the alias "Gipsy MZK Tripps", and in 1995 formed A.I.N.P in his hometown with JFK (Mic Jack Production). After meeting with B.I.G JOE and DJ DOGG, he started full-blown work on track making in 2006. He first really became well known in the underground scene across Japan in 2007, featuring on the Libyus Music label compilation album Listening is Believing vol.2, and is currently widely active as a DJ and trackmaker.
Not long after his two debut releases, ONE and TWO, Michita is already regarded as one of the top track-makers in the country, his beautiful and sorrowful melodies and hard beats epitomising the relentless cold of Hokkaido. His albums were given a licensed release in Korea, and he has provided beats for rappers such as the king of Hokkaido B.I.G JOE (Mic Jack Production), Haiiro, Arupachikabuto, and the Sapporo-based group North Smoke ING.
