4- From the beginning of his life, Monte Dugger's abilities were noted as a “unique gift” and far above average. As a youth, he discovered God’s intent and devoted himself to the Scriptures, godly living and answering the call as a servant-leader. Multi-talented in the visual and performing arts, he later established the musical group, The Chozen Da-Scyplez (The Chosen Disciples). Through his musical projects and theatrical performances, thousands of souls have become “students of the Truth” and Disciples of Christ.
Though he tasted the best of Christendom and its successes, personal hardship was the training ground for his ministry. He spent several years learning invaluable lessons of dependence on God OUTSIDE of the church establishment. He states that his greatest achievement is not in an academic sense, but in the university of life. In a time where validation is found in degrees, denominations, seminaries, material gain and status, he dared to remain faithful to the unrecognizable service of discipleship.
Adhering to the instructions given to Moses in Exodus 18: (19)-20, Monte believes that his duty is to “teach God’s decrees and laws, unveil to the ‘lost’ the way to live and the duties they are to perform.” At the heart of his ministry is the discipleship of believers—fathering the immature in the spiritual disciplines of prayer, worship, Bible study, and service. Known to have an unwavering determination and devotion to a path that others, less enlightened, may question, scorn, walk away, or run fearfully from, he commits to the unfamiliar path of righteousness. His willingness to reach out and show the path to those who don't necessarily want to "see" the truth is courageous.
He holds the ability to present God’s truth with relevancy and vitality in the face of apostasy. It is brave, and selfless. Known for the explicit stand he takes, Monte shows that God’s Word, uncompromised and undiluted, is strong enough to challenge secularist thought in its own territory. As John the Baptist left a society he would later return to as a prophet, Monte returns to the church establishment in the disposition as Nehemiah – to rebuild what has been torn down and establish the Kingdom of God in the hearts of man.
