Nicu Alifantis
One of the greatest folk singers of Romania, and not only, Nicu Alifantis was born on May 31st 1954 in the Romanian town Braila.
His first appearance on stage is in 1973. Step by step, he became an appreciated singer.
After serving in the army, he became a member of the Flacara musical movement, led by the poet Adrian Paunescu.
By 2004 he has 15 albums on the market, in which aproximately all the music is his creation, the lyrics being taken from the great poets of Romania. Two of his most touching songs, and most well-known are "Emotie de toamna" (Nichita Stanescu) and "Decembre" (George Bacovia).
