O. Children
O. Children are a London, UK-based band formed by Tobi O’Kandi (singer and main songwriter), Andi Sleath (drums), Gauthier Ajarrista (guitarist) and Harry James (bass). O. Children take their name from a song by Nick Cave.
O’Kandi and Sleath were previously in the controversial band, Bono Must Die which broke up after a law suit by Bono himself. After changing their name in 2008, they enlisted Ajarrista and James.
Their debut single 'Dead Disco Dancer' was released in August 2009 followed by 'Ruins' in April 2010. Their debut self-titled album was launched on July 12th 2010 through the dalston based label Deadly People Recordings and it was produced alongside Jas Shaw from Simian Mobile Disco.
The second album 'Apnea' was preceded by the track 'PT Cruiser' in March 2012, with a second single 'Chimera' on June 11th 2012.
