One Second Bridge
Originally from Mexico City and Buenos Aires respectively, Vicente García Landa and Matias Bieniaszewski met through a record-shop owning older brother — coming together to form One Second Bridge and in doing so bringing their loves of pop, electronica, shoegaze and delicate psychedelia together in a crucible of audio rightness. One Second Bridge released their self-titled debut in 2006 through Berlin/Manchester’s City Centre Offices which received widespread critical acclaim, often describing it as a step forward in the indie-electronica-experimental crossover. The record was reissued a year later by Mexico’s Static Discos. The duo produced more music but soon after parted ways (this music saw the light of day in the 2010 release by Japan’s Symbolic Interaction, EP + Remixes) to focus on their individual projects: Vicente in Fonogram and Matias in a new band called Stab. 2012 brought the final One Second Bridge album, Demos, released by Mexico's Static Discos.
