Only Seven Left
Only Seven Left is a pianorock band from Hilversum, Netherlands.
When brothers Jochem and Hinne started the band in 2005, they instantly got attention from new fans. Their first release 'Forever Is A Lie' received an overwhelming response from the press and the band got to play on Tinadag, one of the largest Dutch festivals for teenage girls in the Netherlands. In 2008 Only Seven Left released their single 'October Tune' and were then asked to do a short tour in Egypt. In 2009 Only Seven Left opened for the popular US pop punk band Metro Station in Amsterdam. The new single 'My Side Of The Story' turned out to be YouTube hit, mainly due to the Only Seven Left fans who were the stars of the video.
In January 2010 they recorded 'Wake Up Call' with Arno Krabman. It was mastered by Troy Glessner (Anberlin, Copeland). Right after its release 'Wake Up Call' was played on national radio and the music video stayed on high rotation on Dutch MTV for 13 weeks.Only Seven Left expanded their fanbase during their sold out tour with Dutch pop punk band Destine. In February German rockers Tokio Hotel visited The Netherlands and Only Seven Left were asked to be their support act in Ahoy. This was the largest venue they have played so far, playing for over 7000 people. While working on their debut album, Only Seven Left played a seemingly endless list of summer festivals. The band also decided not to sign with a label because they believed their DIY strategy has proven itself so far.
In September 2010 their very first headline tour will kick off and their debut album 'It Was All A Dream' will be released, alongside a super catchy new single and music video. Now with an average age of just 21 Only Seven Left are still young, but are experienced enough to entertain and please a crowd, so come and see for yourselves! Sing along and dance or just sit back, relax and listen. But don't miss your chance to see this fresh rock sensation in action!
In 2011 Only Seven Left's lead singer Bart van Dalen decided to leave the band. Since Jochem, Bram, Roderick and Hinne all wanted to continue with the band they decided to organise a contest to find a new singer. Everybody could just enter by uploading an audition to the site they made for this contest. After 7 weeks they had 6 week winners, out of whom two finalists would be chosen. These finalists were Bjørgen van Essen and Lucas Hamming. The finale of the contest was on November 5 and it was won by Bjørgen van Essen who is now the new lead singer of Only Seven Left.
