Pali
Juan Pablo Hernández Smith, artisticly named Pali (Chile, June 10th, 1982), is a pop-rock Chilean singer. He is known for being son of Marcelo, from the TV show Cachueros.
With eletropop based and soft balladas, Pali presented himself in 2004 on Chilean scenario, releasing his first album called Electrocardiograma. It had 10 songs, among which Daniel Guerrero's production and composition stood out.
His lyrics are all about daily life, that most of times seem to find some lost in time difficulty. That shows up through his song's simplicity.
In 2006, Pali comes back to media with his new releasing En frecuencia, whose first single was Buscaré. Through this production, he intends to be much more uninhibited by showing up a great change in his musical style.
"Pali" (a Hawaian music group) is led by Pali T. W. Ka'aihue. This traditional+contemporary Hawaiian music group started as a duo composed of Pali Tuan W. Ka'aihue and Kevin Kashiwai with the 2001 CD release of "Pali." Hawaiian language love songs and an instrumental or two along with original songs composed by Pali T. W. Ka'aihue made up this debut recording.
More musicians joined, and "Pali" became a six-member group consisting of: Pali T.W. Ka'aihue, Shepherd Kawakami, Dwayne Keomaka John Tanner, Rory Lono, and Mark Kawakami. In 2004, the CD release "In Harmony" featured vocal and instrument backing by Genoa Keawe, John Keawe, Jay Kauka, Jay Kauka II, and Damien Freitas.
Looking back on past Hawaii musicians, Pali's "Tribute" (2006) recorded songs by Cecilio & Kapono, Kalapana, Country Comfort, The Peter Moon Band, Keola & Kapono Beamer, and Summer.
In 2008, "Pali" doubled their output with a 2-CD set "...With Aloha," arranging traditional Hawaiian language songs on Disc 1. Disc 1 also featured the japanese song "Shima Uta," an Okinawan song by Miyazawa Kazufumi about Peace. Disc 2 contains "modern Hawaiian" songs, along with Pali T. W. Ka'aihue originals about Love and Life. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
