Poléxia
Poléxia is a brazilian alternative-indie rock band formed in Curitiba, Brazil in 2002. The band consists of Rodrigo Lemos (vocals, guitar, acoustic guitar), Eduardo Cirino (keyboards), Raphael Santos Moraes (bass), Neto (drums). Raphael Moraes dropped out of the band in 2006 to work on his personal projects.
They released a self titled EP, recorded an acoustic show at Teatro Paiol and released their first CD in november 2004 - "O Avesso". In 2005 they won the Prêmio Claro de Música Independente (Claro Independent Music Award) for best indie rock album, and, in its first weekend of release, "O Avesso" was the top-selling album at Fnac store in Curitiba. Recently the Laboratório Pop (Pop Laboratory) magazine nominated the band for best new independent artist of 2005 in the Prêmio Laboratório Pop (Pop Laboratory Award), an important award in Brazil.
