Prztz
Prztz, aka Eduardo Marote, is a renowned Brazilian producer who was responsible for some #1s in Brasil in the 90s.
After producing artists and bands for many years, he decided to release his own house music project, Prztz, which came to world-wide recognition with his infectiously funky “Everybody” EP on Derrick Carter’s seminal Classic Recordings. The EP was dropped by the who’s who of the discerning house scene including USA’s Derrick Carter, Mark Farina & DJ Heather as well as European Djs Luke Solomon & Yousef.
With Rafael Droors and Rod he's part of the collective Jamanta Crew who have been working furiously in 2005 and are releasing their first EPs right now.
Prztz’s new solo release “Copacabronx” will be out on So Sound very soon.
The trio's all conquering live set shows the Jamanta Crew Live PA mix phunked up house with sprinkles of George Clinton, hip hop and Brazilian grooves with absurd samples. They have been showcasing their live sets to rapturous responses across their native Brasil, as well as recent performances at London's The End, Belgium, The South By Southwest festival in Austin Texas, Dynagroove in Los Angeles and many many more.
Prztz's studio in Sao Paulo, Brasil, is called Cabeca de Estopa and it's where he spends most of his worktime. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
