RINse FM
A former pirate, now legal radio station in London. Formed in 1994, the station has grown to be one of the most famous and influential stations to showcase underground music, originally playing drum and bass, then moving to UK Garage in the late 90s. In the early 2000s, Rinse FM was vital in the development of new sounds of music emerging from the garage scene, which became grime and dubstep. During this time, Rinse FM was the home to now famous artists such as Wiley, Skream and Benga, and the station helped launch many of their careers. In 2010, the station was granted an fm licence.
