Rebel Sonix
Rebel Sonix is the musical brainchild of Larry Holcombe. Born 1979 in South East England, Larry spent his teenage years growing long hair and messing about in various scratchy indie bands before being seduced by dance music. After finishing university in 2002, Larry started DEF inc. concentrating on producing drum and bass before moving onto breakbeat production. His first release was a remix of Coldplay's 'God Put A Smile On Your Face' for Parlaphone records which was licensed to the 10 years of Cafe Del Mar and Perfecto Chill albums. Alongside then partner Mark Kane, Larry released various tracks on Botchit and Scarper and FingerLickin records and toured all around the world from Minsk to Mumbai. In 2008 Larry and Mark went their separate ways and Larry started his solo project Rebel Sonix. The main style of Rebel Sonix is dubtronica - dub related music. His style goes from very heavy dubstep sounds to more chilled vibes. Larry also works with video producer PhilG to bring a visual side to both Rebel Sonix productions and live shows with the partnership working towards a full AV live show. Read more on Last.fm.
