Regina Lund
Regina Charlotta Lund (born July 17th, 1967 in Vaasa, Finland) is a Swedish actress, singer, poet and artist. She is the daughter of actress/dancer Sonja Lund and director Christian Lund.
Lund grew up with her grandparents in the swedish town Gävle. She had alreday as a child plans to be a lawyer, like her grandfather. But in 1976 she got on tour, as an actress, with her mother in Tältprojektet and at the age of eleven she made her film debut, as Lotta Lund, in the silent TV-movie Den nya Människan, directed by her father, 1979.
At school she was devoted to musictheatre. She also went to high school in the US, when she returned to Sweden she started to study law at the university but droped out almost immediately. 1989-1993 she was a student at Scenskolan in Gothenburg. 1993-94 she did the role as Abigail in Häxjakten, that attracted a lot of attention, at the Gothenburg stadsteater. Before that she had also been Ofelia in Hamlet by the Riksteater.
Lund got noticed for her radio-character Laila Klang, a houswife from a little town in Sweden with a peculiar swedish dialect. 1995 she preformed her personally composed one-man-show Moder Svea.
Her first big role in TV was the seductive Daphne in the sit-com Missförstå mig rätt (1991). The big break through in TV came with her role as the secretary Mona in Rederiet (1994-1995 and 2001) and then as the lesbian trainee Ulrika i Aspiranterna (1998). She also played the russian cop Galina in Hassel - Förgörarna (2000) and lesbian lawyer in TV-show Vita lögner (2002).
She's been casted for a few musicals and is a recognized singer and songwriter, she has published three solo-albums. Unique and Year Zero with Johan Norberg (the musician), released by Warner Music. Everybody's Darling (2004), she financed by her own label, Regina Records. The record became a fiasco on the selling chart.
Lund is also a poet, her debut came with the poetry collection Förlåt! Nej. Jag menar. Aj! (2005) on the Koala Press/Modernista label. Producer is swidish artist Joakim Thåström.
In 2007 Regina performed the song "Rainbow Star" in the Melodifestivalen competition, but was eliminated after the semi-final.
