Lindsay Schoolcraft is a solo vocalist and keyboardist hailing from Oshawa, Ontario and is best known for her solo work "Schoolcraft". After being recruited by British extreme heavy metal band Cradle of Filth, Lindsay promptly set out to perform global venues and festivals drawing average audiences of over 10,000 internationally.
2012 saw the release of Schoolcraft's first solo EP “Rushing Through The Sky” which garnered prominent success in its release. Stemming from the softer elements of symphonic metal and rock, Schoolcraft paints a soundscape of string sections, piano ballads, ambient choirs, and elegant harp segments, punctuated by her powerful and vibrant voice.
Years spent at Royal Conservatory of Music refining technique, Schoolcraft successfully brought forth various vocal styles found in Cradle of Filth’s discography to their live act. Having ample piano and vocal studies along with the recent integration of harp, Lindsay has evolved into a triple threat, a multi-instrumentalist and composer.
In 2013, after strings of successful tours, Lindsay was contacted by Karmaflow Videogame creator/composer Ivo van Dijk for prospect of being added to the list of high-profile artists to contribute their talents to the project along with Marc Hudson (Dragonforce), Henning Basse (Metallium, Firewind), Elize Ryd (Amaranthe), Mark Jansen (Epica/MaYaN), Simone Simons (Epica), and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) to name a few.
Currently, Schoolcraft continues with Cradle of Filth as a staple writer/performer for their upcoming album set for release 2015 and as an active songwriter consistently advancing in strides as an independent artist. Lindsay Schoolcraft's second consecutive solo album is currently in the writing process. Read more on Last.fm.
