Sema
1. Sema is an alias of Robert Haigh (Omni Trio) under which he released experimental minimal music in the 1980s. The name comes from a group of artists associated with painter Paul Klee.
2. Sema is also the stage name of Sema Moritz, a German-Turkish singer.
Born in Ankara, Turkey, her initial career was in Turkish classical music. She moved to Germany, where in the 1970s she sang for a time in the Türkischen Arbeiterchor Westberlin. She also studied singing and acting. In the mid-1980s she was a singer with Ensembles Kreuzberger Freunde. In 1989, still living in Berlin, she and her husband, Dieter Moritz, formed the group Taksim, which released a number of albums.
