Show TuFli
Show Tufli is the youngest member of Demevolist Music Group. Born in Harlem, New York, he's a new comer to the hip-hop industry. However, do not take his freshmen status as unfamiliarity. Show Tufli has always been musically inclined and rhymed since the age of six. Also, as a youth he was awarded a scholarship by the Harlem School of Arts to use his singing talents for a tour in Finland. Show displays those same singing talents in his music today, on songs such as "Seems like Forever" and "Celebrate Addiction." It is not an understatement to say that Show Tufli comes with a different perspective from the average rapper. On November 30, 2007, Show suffered a stroke leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. It was during this time that his mother she came to his aide. “She had to be stronger than I was," says Show. According to him "She was there every day in the hospital." He credits his mom as his hero. After many difficult months of therapy he pulled through and prevailed in the face of adversity. Show fell in love with music at a young age. "Music is an energy, it's life," he said. It has become a source of expression for him seemingly to the point that a day without music leaves a void. As a youth he would naturally rhyme the first and last words in every sentence. By the age 16, the Show was invited to record at the Frederick Douglas Academy Studio by Demevolist, and over time was welcomed into the group. The 18-year-old rapper says he was “born to be a performer.” That passion for becoming an entertainer is seen in his assertion that school never really interested him as much as music. He was more interested in listening to beats and writing songs. Despite his indifference towards school Show displayed maturity ultimately graduating from F.D.A. in 2008. It is a maturity rarely seen in young men which is naturally demonstrated in Show’s music. He is enthusiastic about beginning to work on his Solo debut. In addition he plans, as a producer, to combine “old school sounds with futuristic beats.” He wants to introduce a "new kind of sound…something that hasn't really been done before." Show made his first recorded appearance on the track “Bermuda Triangle” with the acclaimed Charles Hamilton. That track was on Charles mixtape titled “DJ Skee Presents: And Then They Played Dilla.” In addition, he appeared on Charles Hamilton’s “DJ Skee Presents: Staff Development.” Show Tufli is expected to have a very impressive effort on Demevolist's upcoming premier compilation album, due in December. Show is simply an artist with a passion for making music and using his skillfully crafted art to relate to people. Read more on Last.fm.
