Sinaloa
Sinaloa can refer to:
(1) an emotive hardcore band from Massachusetts.
(2) the electronic music created by Derek Graf, from St. George, Utah.
(1) Since forming in 2001, Sinaloa has been constantly writing songs and touring, while continuing to work their day jobs. They are often compared to and influenced by the post-hardcore bands of the 1990s from labels like Dischord and Gravity. They combine the fire of the DIY punk and a lot of life experience. Deep personal history meets a life in independent music, and the results are a rare breed of idealism and practicality. Over the years, Sinaloa has released many records:
- 'Fathers and Sons' (2003) - full-length - Word Salad/Chernobyl
- 'Wolves/Sinaloa split' (2004) - split 7"
- 'Life at These Speeds/Sinaloa split' (2005) - split 7"
- 'Footprints on Floorboards' (2005) - full-length - Waking/Owsla
- 'Catena Collapse/Sinaloa split' (2006) - split 7"
- 'Ampere/Sinaloa split' (2006) - split full-length - Ebullition
- 'Daniel Striped Tiger/Sinaloa split' (2008) - split 7"
- 'Oceans of Islands' (2008) - full-length - Level Plane/purepainsugar
- 'Chapel & Basement' (2009) - acoustic full-length - self-released
- 'Sinaloa' (2010) - 12" EP
Each recording has offered a progression in their musical style and insight into their thought process through their honesty and lyrical explanations. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
