South Park Mexican
Carlos Coy, known as South Park Mexican (born October 5, 1970 in Houston, Texas)(or SPM) is a Houston, Texas native and rapper.
In 1994, On his own label, Dope House Records, SPM released Hustle Town and Power Moves to local fame. Touring throughout Texas, SPM released The 3rd Wish and The Purity Album before moving to Universal Records for Time Is Money and Never Change. Some of South Park Mexican's most popular hits to date are "Mary-go-round," "Mexican Radio," "High So High," and "Peace Pipe".
SPM has also worked with the late Creeper, DJ Screw, fellow Latino artists Baby Bash, Merciless AKA Merc100Man and Juan Gotti.
South Park Mexican is currently incarcerated in the Texas prison system. On May 18th 2002,a Houston jury convicted him for aggravated sexual assault of a child ; in June the same jury sentenced him to 45 years in prison. Coy testified that he did not assault the nine-year-old girl in question, who had spent the night at his house with his daughter Carley. Coy did, however,admit of having sex in 1993 with a 22-year-old woman who bore his child Jordan. He will be eligible for parole after he serves 22 1/2 years of his 45 year sentence and is currently pursuing an appeal.
