Souvaris
Souvaris originally from Hertfordshire, United Kingdom were a 5 piece 'Erudite Instrumental Rock Outfit' based in Nottingham, comprising two guitarists, bass, synths and drums. Souvaris' origins stemmed back to five or so people who assembled in a barn in Knebworth, Hertfordshire at the tail end of the year 2000 and wrote, recorded and performed until 2012.
Their mission statement was 'refusing to follow the tendencies of mastering modern rock music to have limited or no dynamic range'. In other words, not everything is LOUD all of the time. In fact, quite often it might be quiet, and you may have to turn the volume up to hear things as they were intended. Then it might get loud again. Souvaris would appear to make no apology for this.
The final line up consisted of the following elements:
Aaron Doyle, Dan Layton, John Simson, David Stockwell, Ian Whitehead.
Previous elements (2001-2004): Mike Beevor, David Moult.
John Simson is also ivolved with the Nottingham based Felix project. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
