Spike 1000
Spike 1000 can be classified as nu-metal or modern hard rock.
The band formed in the early 1990's in Bakersfield, CA (the same hometown as Korn) and were forced to be patient as several bands around them grew and hit fame before they were even recognized.
Leading this modern band is the vocalist Shannon Harris; who can almost be mistaken as a male voice on the record. Bill Thompson plays guitar, "Mfat" pounds bass, and Jeff Jones is on drums.
After moving from Bakersfield to the San Francisco Bay Area, Spike 1000 sold their own five song demo CD at their own concerts, and finally in 2001 Columbia Records entered a deal with them and Spike 1000 released their debut album "Waste of Skin".
